Here's one with a bit more size! 4.8ct with a variation of my Herringbone cut this light pink zircon from the Harts Ranges NT is SUPER bright!
It was optimized for brightness (light return) over dispersion and shows its light pink color quite nicely.
Unheated/untreated just as nature made it. Has an inclusion present which should be visible in macro videos (feather, not surface reaching). Concaves on one side were hand-polished due to a machine malfunction and may have visible polish imperfections under magnification.
Harts Range is renowned for being a top-quality source of plum, pink, champagne, red, orange, yellow, green and white zircons. The zircons found here differ to every other location in that they contain extremely low concentrations of radioactive elements (virtually undetectable in many specimens). This is unique to Harts Range and leads to High-Type zircons with refractive indices over 1.91 and EXTREME dispersion.
