28mm Thulite cabochon red rare from Norway freeform oval shape 28 by 17 by 5mm 27ct
Thulite is the pink to reddish manganese bearing variety of the mineral Zoisite - which is is the same mineral/gem as Tanzanite before it is heated. It was originally discovered in Norway and the name derives from the word Thule, thought to be the ancient name of Norway. Thulite is often mottled with white calcite and occurs as veins and fracture fillings transecting many types of rock. In mineralogicalliterature, Thulite may sometimes refer to any pink zoisite. Thulite was first discovered at a place called Sauland in Telemark, Norwayin 1820. It is named after the mythical island of Thulein the belief that the island is Norway. This stone is also known as Rosaline Zoisite, as it is a pink variety of Zoisite, but this does depend on the amount of manganese within each stone, so the color may differ quite considerably. The deeper red stones are quite rare with a high Manganese content. Healing properties:
*Thulite has an energy that inspires eloquent speech.
*Thulite is for someone who needs to be at ease speaking in front of a crowd.
*Thulite aids those who use it to build rapport with other people.
*Its vibration is one of enthusiasm for living, and it inspires extroversion. It inspires passion for living, contentment, happiness and joy.
