Andesine Labradorite is a gemstone in the feldspar family. It is known for a brilliant play of color and exhibits lustrous metallic tints of blue, green, yellow, red, gold and purple. On Mohs’ scale of hardness, labradorite is 6 – 6.5.
This being a newer gem to test combination of Andesine which is a member of the plagioclase feldspar group, which also includes labradorite and sunstone. All the members of this group are a mixture of albite and anorthite, with andesine being 50-70% albite and 30-50% anorthite. but with recent claims of other treatments, we will not dispute the possibility. The treatment of yellow Andesine Labradorite will produce red or green in rarely, When the gem is treated and does turn red the outcome is Wonderful, we offer a spectacular gem, stable and color is stunning!
