This gem is a good example of the colors Andesine Feldspar come in! A large variety From Pale Yellow to Dark burgundy Red & Dark Green! This peachy melon-honey color has some color shifts at different angles. No black inclusion seen!
Andesine Labradorite is a gemstone in the feldspar family. It is known for a brilliant play of color and exhibits lustrous metallic tints of blue, green, yellow, red, gold and purple. On Mohs’ scale of hardness, labradorite is 6 – 6.5.
This being a newer gem to test combination of Andesine which is a member of the plagioclase feldspar group, which also includes labradorite and sunstone. All the members of this group are a mixture of albite and anorthite, with andesine being 50-70% albite and 30-50% anorthite.
