GR 73 I have just recently gone to the central QLD gem fields to search for more gem rough to cut and found a miner who was willing to sell some stone to me. I cut this stone from the parcel I acquired there and am well pleased with the result. It is a very beautiful stone and I am proud that such stones come from QLD. The central Qld gem fields produce most of the worlds sapphires. So much so that overseas buyers in the past have bought our rough, cut the stone and then tried to claim it as their own! This stone is yet another magnificent example of the great bounty Australia has to offer the world. I have got the stone evaluated and for insurance purposes was priced at $1980 Aust {$1527 US} the retail price was calculated by GemVal at $1400 Aust {$1079 US} my price to you is $ 530 US.
