Major sources of Aquamarine include Brazil, Madagascar, Russia, Pakistan and the USA. Some of the best stones have a deep blue colour sometimes referred to as Santa Maria blue.
Aquamarine Properties
Since Aquamarine is part of the Beryl family, it shares the same properties. It has a MOHS of 7.5 - 8 out of a scale of 10. This makes it extremely durable and suitable for all jewelry applications including rings, pendants and earrings.
We have a large selection of different types of Aquamarine stones including Cabochons and rough pieces. Some of the rough is suitable for faceting while other pieces are perfect for specimens or for wire wrapping. Matching pairs are easy to match since the color of Aquamarine is a nice uniform blue. Sometimes pairs cut out of the same crystal have the best color match. Be sure to check out the carvings and the specimens section for some amazing pieces. The carvings have been hand polished to bring out a fantastic luster. Specimens are a great way to see how this mineral forms in it’s natural form. Most specimens still have traces of the host rock attached to the crystals.

Absolutely fantastic, such a vivid pinkish red stone I have not seen.
Why are users outbidding themselves?
When a bid is placed, this is the maximum amount a user is willing to bid for the product. Our system will then automatically bid on that users behalf, incrementally increasing the bid to maintain their position as the highest bidder, up to the specified maximum.
When there is an icon indicating 'Auto Bid,' it means our system is actively placing bids for the user based on their maximum bid. This may appear as if users are outbidding themselves, but it's simply a result of the system updating the bid to reflect the users maximum limit.
