A delightful and rarely seen nowadays example from this locality, with a nice sparkle, consisting of green Malachite crystals on a contrasting Limonite matrix. Colors contrast wonderfully. Although crystals are obvious to the naked eye, specimen requires magnification in order to enjoy the crystal structures. This is a wonderful example from this old Greek iron mine which is considered to be the best locality for Malachite on Thasos Island. Hardly any of this material from this locality is available on the market which makes it a rare specimen (google search). Will be a delightful addition to any rock and mineral collection.
