ASTROPHYLITE SPECIMEN IN MATRIX

This is a natural slab of rough mined in Kola. It is a hydrous potassium iron titanium silicate mineral. The matrix contrasts with the golden brown needles. You can cut this natural or you can stabilize the material before polishing. Some of the matrix can be soft.
