As my first listing on Gemrockauctions I present a fine tri-colour unheated sapphire from the central highlands gemfields of QLD Australia.
Cut in a custom shape to suit the rough this "Crushed Ice Lozenge" is a fine and unique example of colour variability seen in Australian parti sapphires.
Showing it's range of colours in artificial lighting (led/flouro/hid) and flushing to a light almost cornflower blue in direct sunlight, this gem will be sure to look amazing anywhere you take it!
The gem weighs 2.9ct, it is completely untreated and has natural inclusions present in the pavilion that can confirm that.
*Please note - if you intend to set this in jewellery, a Bezel set would be your best option, it was cut with that in mind.
**1 small section of girdle remains in natural state, does not affect face up appearance. (Shown in video)
