This is natural gold embedded in quartz which was mined in the Gympie gold field in the 1990s and was just sold recently by the miner. It is been polished and ready to set in jewelry. Very rare to find gold-bearing quartz in this area now.
We have not worked out the gold in this stone as the value lies in it being made into jewelry which can sell for over 100$ to $200 per carat [not grams]
