GR 51 We have just came back from the central QLD gem fields after seeing a miner to buy some more gemstone rough. I cut this stone from the parcel I bought from him. It is magnificent. I have called it a blue since it is predominantly that colour but at certain angles you can see a spot of yellow to the side. The colour is very desirable being a vivid blue and the stone while it has some inclusions according to the gemologist still has excellent brilliance and clarity. it seems that some inclusions don't affect the beauty of the stone. In fact what gives a sapphire its colour is and inclusion of another mineral otherwise all sapphires would be colourless! The price for insurance purposes is $1610 Aust {$1242 US} and the retail price was calculated at $1160 Aust {$895 US} Our price to you is $450 US.
