Here is a wonderful chunky piece of blue Aragonite from the ancient Lavrio mines. With a hardness 3,5 – 4 this material is ideal for carving and cabbing. Cabochons from this material are wonderful. Specimen can also be kept in a collection due to its rarity and it would look delightful on display. This material also glows a greenish blue when backlit with a plain torch (see pictures), it is NOT a UV reactive specimen.
