A Vibrant 3ct faceted Wello opal from Ethiopia. This gemstone is a delight to behold, throwing every color of the rainbow in a beautiful floral patchwork pattern it's sure wow any and all. With Hydrophane Opal being quite light and airy material, you get a much larger stone than 3ct would suggest. the weight may also change from time to time as the gem absorbs water from the atmosphere and loses it again when drying out.
PLEASE NOTE: Hydrophane opal is EXTREMELY hydrophilic and will suck in any water it can find be that from the atmosphere or washing your hands etc. Do not submerge in solvents, aggressive fluids or colored fluids as the opal will sponge them up and be altered forever.
It will behave like a weather stone, going transparent when it's going to rain, and being fully opaque when dried out.
Ever so tiny natural concave still present on one corner, this is left over from the rough stage not a chip, stable and will not run. Will be hidden by prong once set.
