A wonderful example of a mixed mineral specimen with a litlle sparkle now found only in private collections from this locality. Arsenopyrite along with Sphalerite and Quartz. Specimen is interesting under magnification. The locality is hardly known to the mineral world and hardly any of this material from this locality is available on the market which makes it a rare specimen (google search). Specimen comes from the historically mined but now closed Olympiada mine in Northern Greece. Although crystals are obvious to the naked eye, specimen requires magnification (loupe) in order to fully enjoy the very interesting mixed structures, spot the terminated microquartz crystals. Will be a great and interesting addition to any rock and mineral collection.
