This is a natural untreated stone from Soledad Brazil where i purchased it direct from the miner. It has a crystal growing in the base of it making it a great collectors stone.

Amethyst is a purple form of quartz and it is the Birthstone associated with February..Amethyst occurs in primary hues from a light slightly-pinkish violet to a deep grape purple.
