A beautiful, sparkling and highly sought after combination from this locality consisting of pink Rhodochrosite with a delightful saturation of color covered with micro terminated Quartz crystals and shiny golden Pyrite crystals. Well formed UV reactive Manganoan Calcite crystals which glow a delightful watermelon to coral pink color under long wave ultraviolet light (see pictures) also present Specimen looks interesting under magnification as there are details to explore. Specimens from this locality come from old miners and were found decades ago. The locality is hardly known to the mineral world and specimens from this locality are now found in private collections. Hardly any of this material from this locality is available on the market which makes it a rarer specimen (google search). Specimen comes from the historically mined but now closed and refilled upper levels of the Madem-Lakkos deposit in Northern Greece. Will be a great addition to any rock and mineral collection.
