AAA grade gemstone from Namibia. Specifically from Outjo District, Kunene Region, Namibia. Pietersite is a variety of chalcedony that is embedded with fibres of amphibole minerals (sodium, calcium, magnesium, iron and aluminium). Pietersite is known as the Tempest Stone because the swirling colours in the mineral can look like a storm. It is said to "hold the keys to the kingdom of heaven".
