AQUAMARINE THIS STONE IS A CLEAN WELL CUT NATURAL STONE READY FOR SETTING . BIRTH STONE FOR MARCH Source Brazil Grading vvs natural Trillion cut Mohs scale 7.5 Weight 1 CTS APPROX Size 7 x 6 x 4 MM APPROX The stone pictured is the actual stone you will receive.I hand selected this stone on my last trip to Japiur India.It was cut by a traditionl family company who do not heat treat there stones. MEMBER OF THE INTERNATIONAL COLOURED STONE ASSOCIATION We have taken a photo of the back of the stone also-there is some light reflection in the stone. Aquamarines are found in a range of blue shades, from the palest pastel to greenish-blue to a deep blue. While the choice of color is largely a matter of taste, the deeper blue gemstones are more rare. Remember that Aquamarine is a pastel gemstone, and while color can be quite intense in larger gemstones, the smaller aquamarines are often less vivid Aquamarine ( "water of the sea") is a gemstone-quality transparent variety of beryl, having a delicate blue or turquoise color, suggestive of the tint of sea water. It is closely related to the gem emarald . Colors vary and yellow beryl(heliodor), rose pink beryl (morganite), and white beryl (goshenite) are known.
