Gr 48 This natural Australian Torrington Emerald we cut ourselves from a parcel we obtained years ago from Torrington. This stone was cut on the c-axis which tends to improve the brilliance of a gemstone. most emeralds are cut parallel to the c-axis to get the best return from the rough material . though with Torrington rough it also shows the distinctive striping these emeralds have. the piece of rough this stone was cut from was better suited for this brilliant cut.
