Obsidian gemstone is formed from volcanic activity, it is a natural glass and formed the same way as granite. Obsidian is strong in silica, 35% up to 80% and low in water. Obsidian has been used for centuries as tool making and for jewellery Source Caucasus Mountains, Georgia, Armenia, Russia Up date from suppler Our supply source has inspected the factory that faceted these stones and saw rough nobbies ready to cut. And when we ordered smaller size factory could not cut. I’m going to our college archeology department to get this checked out. Seems too clean to be real. As mentioned, it is a fake cast large amounts of glue and fake scratches gave it away. Notice how the scratches don’t follow a pattern.
