GR44-this beautifully colored stone from the Umba Valley Tanzania Africa is a beautiful example of the variety of color that is indicative of the area. the deep orangery-yellow has to be seen in real life to be believed. photos simply do not do it justice. while "Gem-Val" (see cert) states that this sapphire's inclusions are type 2 moderate, the stone still shows excellent brilliance under almost all lighting conditions.would be perfect for a solitaire ring, though adding 2 diamonds as shoulder stones wouldn't hurt.
