Fine sapphire ring set with an unheated blue sapphire weighing 7.59ct and accented with diamonds in 18k.
The Sri Lankan sapphire is a true cornflower blue, with intense saturation throughout.
The sapphire has inclusions visible at angles, obscured through its cut and brilliance.
The true cornflower blue in a Sri Lankan sapphire is harder to come than it seems, with enough white and no violet to allow the eyes to know this is cornflower blue.
We point out that the NGI lab report is prudent in its color grading - this sapphire is a very good specimen of certified 'cornflower blue'.
The ring is all about this color in a sapphire size that is big for everyday wear, carried in a chic style that is very appealing.
The sapphire is full on its horizontal sides and it is only these two sides underpinned by diamonds.
This simple effect has a great affect - the stone seems much larger as its brilliance appears to draw beyond.
