A Tektite is a sort of natural glass formed when an asteroid striked the Earth. Tektites can be found at five widely separated locations on the Earth. Moldavite is a type of Tektite, found only in Southern Germany, The Czech Republic and Austria.

Faceted Moldavite gemstones are special and quite rare. Moldavite rough is usually not big in size and difficult to facet, so it’s usually sold in natural form.

This Moldavite pair has a great olive green colour and will make a great pair of earrings. One of the stones has a tiny chip, that is not very visible with the naked eye. There’s always a good story to tell, if you are wearing a piece of meteorite impact glass! All pictures and video’s are made in daylight, so what you see is what you get!
