This 3.9 ct. cabochon cut ruby is a dark red color in photos but in light it shows as a cherry-red, looking bright against the 14Kt. yellow gold ring. The ruby has not been heated according to history but there has not been any testing here.The ring shows very fine craftsmanship in carvings to accentuate the appearance. It is size 6.5 and has a total weight of 5gm. The stone itself has a diameter of about 9mm. A vintage /antique item.
