BURMESE RUBY:

The Magok mine was the best Ruby mine in the world but now this mine is nearly exhausted and now you hardly get one or two carats gem, whereas say about 40 to 50 years back you could easily get 7 or 8 carats of Gem......The Magok are best known for its color....no mine in the world matches the same, the history writes that the last King of Burma was attacked and captured, later on killed by British Empire only to get the Ruby of 269 carats from him, he died of extreme torture but he didnt let know, where he has hidden the Ruby and not found till todate.

If we can see no blemishes from a foot away in our hand we term the Ruby as

EYE CLEAN.

Many sites show rubies clean and vvs which is really very hard to find. Mining these

rubies as you are aware most are glass filled if vvs and cheap, so please be informed.

Wearability is important and we consider fracture filled rubies as strong and wearable

But you should avoid heavily glass filled cheap rubies as wearability and strength is effected.
