This is a natural drussy treated [CVD] by vapor deposition to give this stunning look.With its multitude of tiny crystals, drussy posesses a reflective surface reminiscent of sugar or snow. Drussy gets its name from the word "druse," which refers to a rock surface (usually a cavity) covered with tiny crystals, such as are found inside geodes or in larger pockets of mineral deposits.

Chemical vapor deposition (CVD) is a chemical process used to produce high-purity, high-performance solid materials. The process is often used in the semiconductor industry to produce thin films. In a typical CVD process, the wafer (substrate) is exposed to one or more volatile precursors, which react and/or decompose on the substrate surface to produce the desired deposit.
