A large and impressive specimen consisting a well formed transparent terminated Quartz crystals partly covered with Siderite. Specimen is very interesting under magnification. Although crystals are obvious to the naked eye, specimen requires magnification in order to enjoy the range of interesting structures and formations, the attached Siderite. Nowadays it is extremely unusual to find specimens from Serifos island as there is a ban for collecting in effect. This specimen along with others I will be offering were collected prior to the ban decades ago. Specimens from this locality come from old miners and were found decades ago. The locality is hardly known to the mineral world and specimens from this locality are now found in private collections. Hardly any of this material from this locality is available on the market which makes it a rarer specimen (google search). Will be a great addition to any rock and mineral collection and would look delightful on display. Specimen sits perfectly on itself for display purposes and will look wonderful on display in your collection.
