A wonderful specimen consisting of Calcite crystals along with brown Siderite. The Calcite has a not so bright fluorescence. Specimen is interesting under magnification, view the well formed rosettes of Siderite which have a golden sparkle. Nowadays it is extremely unusual to find specimens from Seriphos island as there is a ban for collecting in effect. This specimen was collected prior to the ban decades ago. Specimens from this locality come from old miners and were found decades ago. Will be a nice addition to any rock and mineral collection from an unusual locality. This is the opportunity to add this old timer and Greek classic to your rock or mineral collection.

The locality is hardly known to the mineral world and specimens from this locality are now found in private collections. Hardly any specimens from this locality are available on the market which makes this a rarer specimen (google search).
