ORIGIN : KIMMERIA, XANTHI PREFECTURE, THRACE, GREECE
A wonderful and larger example of Andradite Garnet crystals. The Garnet crystals have well-defined faces and edges along with a delightful glassy luster. Specimen looks delightful under magnification, although crystals are obvious to the naked eye, specimen requires magnification in order to enjoy the crystal structures and formations. The locality is hardly known to the mineral world and hardly any of this material is available on the market which makes it a rare specimen (google search). A wonderful example of Andradite from northern Greece. Will be a delightful addition to any mineral or rock collection.
