Ethiopian Emerald is a captivating variety of beryl, prized for its rich green hues and natural vibrancy. Discovered relatively recently compared to other emerald sources, Ethiopian emeralds are mined primarily in the Oro Province of Ethiopia. These gemstones often display a medium to deep green color, sometimes accompanied by slight bluish or yellowish undertones.

Many Ethiopian emeralds are known for their good clarity, with fewer inclusions than their Colombian or Zambian counterparts, although natural inclusions (often called jardin, meaning "garden" in French) are still common and contribute to each stone’s unique character. They’re typically found in schist and pegmatite deposits.
