Amethyst is a purple form of quartz and it is the birthstone associated with February.This material was mined in Namibia africa. This is a top grade clean dark stone ideal for facating. it is ideal as a specimen or it can be facated or cabachoned.Another option to make a natural bead out of it by drilling it.
Amethyst occurs in primary hues from a light slightly-pinkish violet to a deep grape purple. Amethyst may exhibit one or both secondary hues, red and/or blue. The ideal grade is called "Deep Siberian" and has a primary purple hue of around 75–80 percent, 15–20 percent blue and (depending on the light source) red secondary hues. A parcel of 6 vibrant stones.
