Amethyst Faceting Rough
Amethyst is a beautiful purple gemstone perfect for faceting into large stones. Being part of the Quartz family it can be difficult to get a nice polish but the key to this stone is pateince.
Sapphire Faceting Rough
Sapphire is a relatively expensive rough stone so the majority of pieces you will find are small. However when selecting this type of rough always try to find a piece that will yield the best return. Since it is expensive, wastage will play a huge role in determining how much the final cut stone will be worth
Topaz Faceting Rough
Topaz is a beautiful stone that is commonly found without any color. Rarely it can be found with a blue hint. This is a fun stone to facet into a nice large polshed stone
Garnet Faceting Rough
Garnet has so many different colors there is surely something to suite everyones taste.
Tourmaline Faceting Rough
Tourmaline is a stone that is not commonly found available as facet grade rough. Usually these stones are long and skinny (because of the crystal structure) so when cutting these stones expect to cut a step cut rectangle or similar.
