Machu Picchu ,lost city of the Incas, has been described as the centre of the world energy And once you visit this place you will agree whole heartily Words cannot describe the awe and energy you feel in this remote mountain ancient Inca site Next to Macchu Picchu is the iconic mountain that is seen in all Macchu Picchu images- Waynapicchu is 2720 meter mountain with Temple built on top. People can climb the ancient paths built by the Incas to the top of the mountain and enjoy this majestic heavenly view of Machu Picchu. That is why it is known a s the death climb or Hike of Death Rangers who work on the-mountain have died, and many people suffer heart attacks Fit 30 year olds seem to handle the strenuous climb, but I saw two females with bandage ankles and on crutches and Heart attacks are common If over 30 odd you should be fit as the hotel I stayed at a group of Germans were sick for days after the climb. Altitude sickness ,dehydration ,ankle injuries are more common than expected. Up to 10 percent people suffer altitude sickness It’s known as death Hike and No western countries would allow amateurs to under take such a dangerous climb. I would class it a climbing grade 4 as many areas are steep 70-80 % degrees and ropes are only set in some of these steep grades I was fortunate to be able to climb and enjoy the majestic views on top and visit the Inca temple onto of the world Incas built the path and on some places you can see thousands meters down on both sides,I have to admit it is scary at some places Some rock paths are steep 70 degrees angle and amazing how they managed to carve into the rocks Once on top you are mesmerised by this view.
Inca pathway 70-80% degrees climb and images temple on top wayapicchu Incas built Macchu Picchu to start expansion of the Incas empire to the Amazon an this place is on horse shoe bend and you can control all who would come up this river Unfortunately the incas didn’t venture into the Amazon as after the Spanish arrived e population of 15 million Incas were devastated by diseases. The incas didn’t know about quarantine sick family members ,so when one person was sick all the family would visit an hence the European diseases spread through out the entire Incas empire .
Even the mystic sassayamma, worship centre to the Sun God god wasn’t finished This place is so impressive to view and to see the architecture and planning t make this place strong for trade and control as also the river was joined in this valley on three sides To view grain storage high on mountain sides that acted like refrigerators as wind would be tunnelled through clever architect
The Incas would harvest potatoes and leave them out at night to freeze, than stand on them in the morning to push he moisture out and than they could keep the foods for up to 5 years, potatoes have been found centuries old and when placed overnight in water they are edible.
