The word “Pyrope” comes from the Greek word “puropus”, a combination of “pur” (fire) and “ops” (eye) meaning “fiery-eyed”. This refers to the great brilliance of pyrope garnet, which is a result of its high refractive index.

This eye clean Pyrope garnet has a great deep red colour and fantastic fire! Most Garnets are quite dark, when exposed to artificial light, but this Garnet even has great colour indoors! There is one small inclusions in the pavilion of the stone, but it is not visible when looking at the table side,
